Google Adsense Account Disabled
Now that was not a good start to the day! An e-mail with the following content:
We continually review all publishers according to our Terms and
Conditions and programme policies, and we reserve the right to disable
publishers or sites that are not in compliance with our policies. Our specialists have found that your account is not in compliance with
these programme policies. As a result, we have disabled your account.Google has certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure
the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as our
advertisers. We believe strongly in freedom of expression and therefore
offer broad access to content across the web without censoring results.
At the same time, we reserve the right to exercise editorial discretion
when it comes to the ads we display in our AdWords programme and the
sites on which we choose to display them in our AdSense programme, as
noted in our respective Terms and Conditions.Thank you for your understanding.
Understanding? I am now totally confused! The site, www.zimcontract.com, has been in place for about 9 years, the last two or three with Adsense running. There are no proscribed content pages.
For the record:
I have been running a basic adsense arbitrage for about a year, having used Adsense for a couple of years.
The content is however all my own, consisting of photographs, most with a simple description or story.
Adsense revenue was not fantastic, but useful. (>$250 per month).
In the last two months I have removed all adsense ads with CTR less than 3%.
Adsense adverts were not all that effective, so each page had two link units and a Google search box.
So what caused Google to dump me. I am awaiting a response, but not holding my breath! Anyone have any ideas?
